We are due in Venice at midday, so breakfast was at 7.30 so that we could fit in an off list visit to the town of Peschiera del Garda, at the south most tip of Lake Garda. We had been there on a previous trip and so knew our way round this small town.
Peschiera del Garda is really a fortified island with an old bridge across the river.
A bank of oleanders beside the fort
The town has roman remains (0 - 300 AD) next to the church, which is, itself, clearly roman.

So then it was time to board the bus for the drive to Venice.
